Park and a Dirt Sundae

 

A fun park in Hillsborough, NC is Gold Park. 

This park has a playground, music features and swings for the kiddos.  It also has fields, picnic areas and a dog park. You might catch the train coming by, which adds some fun. Have your camera ready!

Gold Park is located by the Eno River and downtown Hillsborough.  There is a paved path that connects with Riverwalk. This is a scenic trail about 2 miles long.  You don't have to go far to see the bridges, which are the fun part.  

Riverwalk goes under the train bridge, and then takes you on a bridge over the river.  It also connects with larger hiking trails. 

Nearby is a little strip with a BBQ restaurant, tavern, pet store, and our favorite ... Whit’s Frozen Custard!

My little one sang me a cute little song when he was eating a Dirt Sundae at Whit's Frozen Custard.
